This month’s theme of expressing ourselves brings to mind the Throat Chakra, the sky-blue energy center in the area of our throat, from which our voice and expression originate.
In Sanskrit it is known as the Vishuddha, which translates to mean: “Pure”. The throat chakra encourages us to be pure in our words: speaking truthfully and honestly when appropriate.
When your Throat Chakra is balanced it helps you know when to speak, and to make your words meaningful. When you are in alignment with this energy center, you also know when to be silent, and you find value in being a good listener.
Importantly, when our authentic and true voice shares the “purest” part of ourselves with the world, it is also an act of creation. Our voice creates a world with ourselves in it, through the expression of the longing in our hearts.
Let’s explore how the January New Moon can breathe life into this energy center, and create harmonious and aligned expression.
